They/Them/Theirs "The past three years have truly been three years of growth in the face of adversity. However, this journey of learning would have been impossible if I embarked on my own. Therefore, I must first thank my peers who helped me through the rough spots of law school. In particular I must thank Sonsirez Robles and Christopher Parker for helping to keep me on track with coursework and for always being there to listen when I have an outlandish legal thought. Secondly, I have to thank the faculty and staff of LMU for providing the rigorous learning environment that was necessary for me to grow into the individual I am today. Next I must thank the Knoxville Public Defender's Community Law Office and Andre Johnson for allowing me to develop my skills as a lawyer and give back to my community as an extern. Fourth, I would like to thank my family for supporting me through this twenty-year saga known as education. Lastly, I wanted to extend a thank you to my dearly departed friend Vivian Windham. Thanks to Viv I was able to get through the grueling first year of law school, and I will truly forever wish that I would have had the opportunity to have seen her as a lawyer."
